Blinding Light refers to the divine intervention described in Genesis when the angels sent by God protected Lot and his household from a violent mob in Sodom. After Lot welcomed the angels into his home, a crowd gathered outside demanding access to the visitors. When the men attempted to force their way into the house, the angels acted to protect Lot and themselves.
The angels pulled Lot safely back inside and struck the attackers with blindness, leaving them unable to find the doorway despite their efforts. This miraculous act demonstrated God’s protection of the righteous and His authority over those who opposed His will.
The event immediately precedes God’s judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah. The angels then warned Lot and his family to flee the city before its destruction. As such, the Blinding Light symbolizes divine protection, justice, and God’s deliverance of those who trust in Him.
