“Solomon’s Wisdom” recalls the extraordinary wisdom granted by God to King Solomon, son of David, who became renowned throughout the world for his understanding, judgment, and knowledge. When God offered Solomon whatever he desired, the young king humbly asked not for riches or power, but for wisdom to govern God’s people justly. Pleased by this request, the Lord granted him wisdom greater than that of all other kings.
Solomon’s wisdom was displayed in his judgments, teachings, proverbs, and ability to discern truth. His most famous judgment involved two women claiming the same child, where Solomon revealed the true mother through wise discernment. Under his reign, Israel experienced peace, prosperity, and the construction of the holy Temple in Jerusalem.
The wisdom of Solomon became a symbol of righteous leadership and the understanding that true wisdom comes from God rather than human strength or earthly riches.
