“A Holy Vision” represents the extraordinary graces by which God permits certain saints and holy persons to behold heavenly realities, receive divine messages, or gain deeper insight into His will. Throughout the history of the Church, holy visions have strengthened the faith of believers, encouraged repentance, and inspired greater devotion to God. These visions are not sought for their own sake but are gifts granted according to God’s wisdom and providence.
Many saints received visions of Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary, angels, Heaven, or other spiritual mysteries. Such experiences often led them to greater humility, prayer, and service rather than personal glory. The Church carefully examines reported visions and accepts only those that are found to be consistent with Sacred Scripture and Catholic teaching.
A holy vision reminds the faithful that God continues to guide His Church and that the realities of Heaven are greater than anything seen in this world. It calls believers to Holiness, trust, and attentiveness to God’s will.
