The Valley of the Bones recalls the vision given to the Prophet Ezekiel in which he was brought to a valley filled with dry bones. God asked whether the bones could live again and then commanded Ezekiel to prophesy over them. As he obeyed, the bones came together, were covered with flesh, and finally received the breath of life from God (Ezekiel 37:1–10).
God explained that the bones represented the people of Israel, who felt spiritually dead and without hope during their exile. Through the vision, the Lord promised to restore His people, renew them, and bring them back to their land (Ezekiel 37:11–14). The Valley of the Bones symbolizes God’s power to bring life from death, restore hope in times of despair, and renew His people through His Spirit.
