Heal the Deaf recalls the miracles through which Jesus Christ restored hearing to those who were deaf. These acts revealed His compassion for the afflicted and demonstrated His divine authority over sickness and human limitations. By healing the deaf, Jesus fulfilled the promises of the prophets and showed that the Kingdom of God had come among His people.
One of the most memorable healings occurred when Jesus touched a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment. Looking up to heaven, He said, “Ephphatha,” meaning “Be opened,” and the man’s ears were opened and his speech restored (Mark 7:31–37). These miracles not only brought physical healing but also symbolized the opening of hearts to hear and receive God’s word.
