Malachi The Prophet

Card Type: Intercessor | Timeline: Old Testament
Overview:

Malachi was the last of the Old Testament prophets and the author of the Book of Malachi. He ministered after the return of the Jewish people from exile, calling them to renewed faithfulness to God. Through his prophecies, Malachi rebuked spiritual complacency, corrupt worship, and unfaithfulness, urging both priests and people to honor the covenant.

Malachi proclaimed God’s enduring love for His people and foretold the coming of a messenger who would prepare the way for the Lord. Christians have traditionally seen this prophecy fulfilled in John the Baptist. His book closes the Old Testament with a message of hope, expectation, and preparation for God’s coming salvation.

For Christians, Malachi stands as a witness to faithful worship, covenant fidelity, and anticipation of the Messiah.
