St. Padre Pio’s Gloves are among the relics associated with Saint Pio of Pietrelcina. For much of his priestly life, Padre Pio wore fingerless gloves or hand coverings because of the stigmata wounds corresponding to those of Christ’s Passion—that he reportedly bore on his hands.
These gloves became closely associated with his ministry of prayer, confession, and spiritual guidance. Today, preserved examples are venerated as relics because of their connection to a saint whose life was marked by devotion to Christ, love for the Eucharist, and service to countless people seeking spiritual counsel.
