Discontentment isn’t a specific sin but a serious spiritual ailment rooted in Pride, Unbelief, and a lack of trust in God’s providence, often manifesting as Acedia (spiritual sloth/weariness) or Envy, leading to grumbling, covetousness, self-centeredness, and rejecting God’s plan for one’s life as insufficient. It’s seen as a rejection of Christ as enough, a failure to find joy in God’s gifts, and a desire for more than what’s provided, echoing the original sin.
