Guardian Angels are heavenly spirits appointed by God to guide, protect, and assist souls throughout their earthly lives. From the beginning of Christian tradition, the Church has taught that God, in His providence and mercy, entrusts each person to the care of a guardian angel who watches over them against spiritual and physical dangers.
These holy angels inspire the faithful toward goodness, strengthen them during temptation, and intercede before God on their behalf. Though unseen, guardian angels serve constantly and faithfully, leading souls closer to holiness and helping them persevere in the path of salvation. Scripture reveals angels protecting God’s servants, delivering messages, and carrying out divine commands throughout salvation history.
Devotion to guardian angels reminds Christians that they are never abandoned in their struggles, for God provides heavenly protectors to accompany them through life and toward eternal glory.
