“Father’s Love” symbolizes the faithful, protective, and sacrificial love shown by fathers throughout the Old Testament, reflecting the loving care that God Himself has for His people. Although human fathers are imperfect, Scripture frequently presents fatherhood as a gift entrusted by God for the guidance, protection, instruction, and blessing of children.
The Old Testament contains many examples of paternal love. Abraham demonstrated deep love for Isaac, trusting God even during the trial on Mount Moriah. Jacob labored many years for his family and showed special affection for his children. Tobit faithfully instructed his son Tobias in righteousness and the fear of the Lord. Through these and many other examples, fathers are portrayed as providers, teachers, protectors, and spiritual leaders.
Beyond earthly fatherhood, the Old Testament repeatedly reveals God as a loving Father to Israel. He guides, disciplines, protects, and remains faithful to His people even when they stray. His fatherly care serves as the ultimate model for all fathers and a source of comfort for all who trust in Him.
“Father’s Love” therefore represents compassion, guidance, sacrifice, protection, and the enduring faithfulness that flows from both earthly and heavenly fatherhood.
