Cast Your Nets recalls the miraculous catch of fish that occurred when Jesus instructed Simon Peter to lower his nets after a night of unsuccessful fishing. Though exhausted and doubtful, Peter obeyed Christ’s command, and the resulting catch was so great that the nets began to break (Luke 5:1–11).
Following this miracle, Jesus called Peter and his companions to become “fishers of men,” inviting them to dedicate their lives to gathering people into the Kingdom of God. The event revealed Christ’s power, rewarded faithful obedience, and marked the beginning of the Apostles’ mission.
Cast Your Nets symbolizes trust in God’s guidance, obedience to His word, evangelization, and the abundant blessings that flow from faithfulness to Christ.
